Flexible Schedules Welcome
In 2012, I became certified through USMS Adult Learn to Swim program to be an instructor. I know too many adults that ensure their kids know how to swim but they don’t. and it is often embarrassment that stops them from taking the first step to learn. It is my desire to help adults that have a fear of water, want to get more comfortable in the water, or that just want to learn to swim, achieve that goal. I want to help as many adults as possible, however, one of my focus groups are in the black and brown communities.
Owner & Founder - My name is Quintana Patterson and I learned to swim (correctly) about 12 years ago while training to do my first triathlon and I continue to fall in love with the activity. After my first couple of events, I realized that I was the only black person (male or female) at the pool or participating in most of the swimming activities. It was then that I listen to that voice deep down that said I need to take my gift and share it. I didn’t start with a desire to have my own adult program but that is what has happened
Articles – Good topics for articles include anything related to your company – recent changes to operations, the latest company softball game – or the industry you’re in. General business trends (think national and even international) are great article fodder, too.
Mission statements – You can tell a lot about a company by its mission statement. Don’t have one? Now might be a good time to create one and post it here. A good mission statement tells you what drives a company to do what it does.
Company policies – Are there company policies that are particularly important to your business? Perhaps your unlimited paternity/maternity leave policy has endeared you to employees across the company. This is a good place to talk about that.
Executive profiles – A company is only as strong as its executive leadership. This is a good place to show off who’s occupying the corner offices. Write a nice bio about each executive that includes what they do, how long they’ve been at it, and what got them to where they are.
